Jon steele is bass player who's worked as a side man to some world-class musicians, a COMPOSER for jazz, and classical, AND an EDUCATOR for all kinds of traditional european and modern american music.
Originally from the south, he was self taught from age 10 on electric bass until entering the university of tennessee to study uprght bass where He earned degrees in double bass performance and jazz studies under the tutelage of donald brown.
jon currently enjoys working with many of DC's great jazz musicians AND with ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. he is also actively writing music for upcoming projects. stay tuned! check the social media for gigs and more.
